In this workshop, David Wicks discusses 12 common questions asked about the use of Blackboard Release 9. (1 hour 15 minutes) The questions are:
- What browser should I be using?
- What happened to the Control Panel?
- How can I see the course as students see it?
- How do I copy content from an existing course?
- How do I modify the navigation menu?
- Why do all announcements seem to be permanent announcements?
- Compared with Blackboard 8, how many clicks will I save when I upload a document?
- How do I see a roster of my students?
- How do I modify the window so I can see more content and fewer navigation options?
- How do I create areas for group projects?
- How do I create signup lists for student projects?
- How do I make my course available to students?
David,
Thanks for sharing this excellent presentation. I learned a great deal, and I enjoyed your sense of humor!

You are welcome. Thanks for the feedback. Not everyone gets my jokes so I’m considering the addition of a laugh track in the near future. 🙂

Do you have the answer to these questions in a text or ppt format that you are willing to share? Thanks for your work on this topic.

Hi All,
This workshop continues to be a popular download. Thanks for all of your feedback. I’m watching it again for the first time in about six months and realizing that (as usual) things have changed. Thankfully, Blackboard has fixed a number of the issues with Internet Explorer including the problem seeing all of your students if you have a large class. Someday soon I’ll record an updated version of the workshop.
Have a great day,
David
